A Detroit man is in the Racine County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing incident at a truck stop in the Town of Yorkville Sunday.
Nathanial O. Collins, 53, of Detroit, was being held Monday on $50,000 cash bond for charges of first-degree attempted homicide, according to a press release issued by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department Monday morning.
Deputies responded to the Citgo Truck Plaza, 611 Sylvania Avenue, about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning for a report of a man bleeding.
Deputies located a man who was bleeding from the neck at a nearby restaurant. They learned that the man, who was treated and released from an area hospital, had been stabbed and the alleged perpetrator had fled the scene on foot.
A deputy found Collins a few miles north of the scene and took him into custody without incident, according to officials.
