A Town of Dover man was found dead in a pond on his property late Sunday, according to the Racine County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s officials received a call regarding a missing person near the 300 block of Beaumont Avenue about 10:23 p.m. Sunday. Authorities learned the man had last been seen with his dog near a pond on his property.
Divers from the Racine County Water Rescue and Response Team located the man’s body in the pond about 11:11 p.m., according to a press release issued early Monday morning.
The name of the victim had not been released pending notification of family.
According to the release, initial investigation indicates alcohol use may have been a contributing factor in the death.
