A man was seriously injured when run over by a truck driven by a suspected drunken driver early Monday morning in Union Grove.
The incident occurred just after 2:30 a.m. in a parking lot off 11th Avenue in the village, according to a press release issued by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim was transported to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa for treatment of serious injuries and was still being treated as of 7:30 a.m. Monday, according to authorities.
Deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle and the driver, who subsequently failed field sobriety tests and was arrested under suspicion of causing injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.
