The Piccadilly Circus brings Big Top fun to the Racine County Fairgrounds in Union Grove on Wednesday, Aug. 29 through Monday, Sept. 3.
This edition of Piccadilly Circus is called Blast! for good reason. The producers, who also produce the world famous Ice Capades promise non-stop fun, comedy and nuclear thrills.
• Racing camels, the largest herd of performing camels in the world is one of the animal features of the show. Oka, a 9,000-pound Asian elephant stands atop a 3-foot round ball and rolls across the circus ring, showing the amazing balance of these giant behemoths.
Oka is joined by a herd of African and Asian elephants and dancing zebras.
• The Romanian Olympic High Bar Team performs feats that prove why these athletes deserved all their medals. The giant catapult sends acrobatic daredevils flying high in the air while others dive from the very heights of the Big Top, which soars 80 feet in the air.
• Motorcycles defy gravity, showgirls on stilts tower above the audience and giant wheels of death rotate at breathtaking speeds. It’s all designed to keep you on the edge of your seats and gasping in awe.
• Comedy reigns, and wait until people see the smallest bike on the planet. It’s comedy for the whole family.
• Piccadilly Circus also has German wheels, Russian swings, African and Asian elephants, Romanian Olympians, motorcycle extreme air-daredevils, Cossack riders, and more.

This article inaccurately portrays and over priced petting zoo with acrobats, camels, and zebras. I am thankful we bought the “cheap” tickets for Friday night! I was less than impressed. No elephants, no motorcylces, no clowns!
I too went to see this circus on Sunday at 1pm. While it was a nice afternoon for the most part, there are an enormous amount of inaccuracies in this article. No elephants, no motorcycle, most certainly NOT climate controlled, absolutely not theater seating, No motorcycles, no stilts, no giant wheel of death, no german wheels, no russian swings, no cossack riders. There were dancing zebras and six camels, there was a great acrobatic show and a tightrope walker. On another note, all of that, on top of $38.00 per adult admission , $15.00 for a balloon and $4.00 bottle of water. All and all, it was fairly cost prohibitive for a family!
I was considering going after seeing this article. Glad I didn’t.
