Fun Competitions
Entries must be in place by 1:15 p.m. for all Halloween competitions in order to be judged. All ages are encouraged to bring either a carved or painted (decorated) pumpkin. The Jack O’ Lantern creations will be judged in several age categories, including teens and adults. Or, purchase one for yourself to take home that day.
The second competition with entries due at 1:15 p.m. is the Pumpkin Baking Contest. The only requirement is that pumpkin be a key ingredient. Contestants may bring an old family favorite to the contest or look in a cookbook and try a new taste treat. Judges will consider eye appeal, texture and taste.
The costume parade will be judged by age group. The judging line up will begin at 1:20 p.m. Winners to be announced at the end of the event.
The pet photo contest has become quite popular. Dress up your pet in costume and take a photo. Bring it in before 1:15 p.m., so it can be judged.
