St. Robert Bellarmine’s Church Festival Aug. 24-26

St. Robert Bellarmine Parish will hold its 41st annual festival and family event. Friday, Aug. 24, from 4 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, Aug. 25, from noon to midnight, and Sunday, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 3320 S. Colony Ave., Union Grove.

The three-day event is fun filled for all ages with many free events. There is no admission fee.

Enjoy a Friday fish fry, Sunday Mass and barbecue chicken dinner, food, beer, raffles, auctions, music and more.

Friday night starts off the event with Father Robert’s famous fish fry served with a secret recipe beer batter, delicious homemade potato pancakes choice of maple syrup or apple sauce, sweet potato fries and french fries, coleslaw, creamy mac and cheese, slices of marble rye and butter, choice of coffee or milk and a selection of desserts are included in the price of the $10 ticket for this all-you-can-eat fish dinner and $6 for seniors.

Also enjoy the annual car show, hourly raffles, a farmers market, silent auction, golf contest, and more.

Saturday night St. Robert’s will provide free live entertainment featuring music by Rebel Grace who have performed at Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Wisconsin State Fair, and the Kenosha County Fair.

In addition there will be a grand raffle, which features a Bahamas cruise and cash prizes, which will be drawn Sunday afternoon.

Enjoy the classic car and tractor show, silent auction, free tractor hayrides and bonfire also on Saturday night.

Sunday at 10 a.m., the last day of the festival begins with an outdoor Mass celebrated by Fr. Robert Kacalo. Following Mass will be an honorary flag retirement ceremony by the Boy Scouts.

Scheduled at noon is a barbecue chicken dinner with The Mike Schneider Polka Band performing. Tickets for the chicken dinner will be on sale at the door for $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and children.
