After a hiatus of one year, Leadership Union Grove (affectionately called LUG) is returning with the Class of 2013-14, beginning with an opening retreat in September.
All LUG alumni are invited to a kick-off celebration for the new class on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Union Grove Municipal Center.
It is not too late to become a member of the program to develop caring, concerned and committed leaders. The class meets once a month from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second Wednesday, from October through May.
Each session focuses on a different aspect of life in the community, such as education, government, law enforcement and justice, health and human services, etc.
