Racine County will begin accepting picnic reservations for Cliffside, Colonel Heg, Eagle Lake, Old Settlers, Pritchard, and Sanders Parks, as well as the Root River Parkway on Thursday, Jan. 2, at 8 a.m., at the Public Works and Development Services offices, 14200 Washington Ave., Sturtevant, WI 53177.
Open picnic areas and shelters can be reserved at rates ranging from $25 to $190. Reservations can be made in person or through the mail. Picnic reservations may be made by telephone beginning Monday, Jan. 13, at 8 a.m. by calling (262) 886-8457.
The Real Racine Visitors Center will begin accepting camping reservations for Cliffside and Sanders Parks, at 9 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, at their office at 14015 Washington Ave., Sturtevant. Reservations can be made in person or through the mail only. Beginning at 9 a.m., on Thursday, Jan. 9, camping reservations can be made by telephone, by calling the Real Racine Visitors Center at (262) 884-6400 or (800) 272-2463. Campground reservations can also be made online beginning at 2 p.m., Jan. 2, via the Real Racine Visitors Center website at www.realracine.com.
