Yorkville United Methodist Church is known for its annual pork chop dinner, cooking 100 pork chops at a time on racks over a specially-built cooker and featuring an array of delicious desserts.
This year, te Fall Pork Chop Dinner will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The menu includes flame-grilled pork chops, baked potato with butter or sour cream, buttered corn, cole slaw, applesauce, carrots and pickles, roll and butter, lemonade and coffee, plus homemade pies, tortes and fancy cakes.
Several options are available to choose from: a two-chop dinner for $13 or a one-chop dinner for $11. Both options are available as dine-in or drive-through carryout, which is delivered to your vehicle by car hops.
Also, a four-chop package of already-cooked pork chops is available for $15 (by advance sales only).
Advance tickets are strongly recommended. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door, but please call the church office at (262) 878-2388 to avoid disappointment. Leave name and phone number, so someone can call you back to confirm your order. You must arrive by 6 p.m. in order to guarantee the tickets will still be held for you.

The church is located at 17645 Old Yorkville Road (on 63rd Drive, just north of Highway 20) and is completely accessible by elevator.
