Union Grove United Methodist Church, home of Bright & Beautiful Christian Child Care Center, 906 12th Ave., will host its traditional turkey dinner on Saturday, Oct. 18, serving from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $11, adults; $5, children ages 5-10; free for those under age 5. All carryouts are $11. Tickets can be purchased from church members and at the door.
The traditional dinner includes roast turkey, whipped potatoes, gravy, stuffing, creamed green beans, corn, coleslaw, dinner rolls, cranberries, dessert and a beverage.
The annual event has been happening for 50 years, with about 600 people attending last year’s feast. This year, make sure to give a welcome to the church’s new pastor, Douglas Clement.
