Event features two nights of live music, pyrotechnics
Two nights of food, fun and fireworks are planned for the Racine County Fairgrounds in Union Grove Saturday and Sunday.
Fireworks Fest is described by organizers as a family friendly event aimed at bringing the community together to assist charities in raising awareness and achieving their fundraising goals.
On Friday the featured charity is Band of Blue, which is based in Southeast Wisconsin and supports families of fallen police officers. Proceeds from Saturday’s events will benefit Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin.
Fireworks Fest features two live bands each evening capped by fireworks displays set to music. Casper Pyrotechnics is choreographing the aerial shows. The fireworks displays begin at 9:30 p.m. both nights.
The music lineup includes – Friday: Dog House Charlie, 5 to 8 p.m.; Breaking Cadence, 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday: Mellencougar, 5 to 8 p.m.; Superfly 8 to 11 p.m.
Food for the fest includes a pig roast, bourbon chicken, all-beef hot dogs and jumbo brats by Danny’s Catering.
Other activities include ax throwing for adults and bounce house for kids.
Tickets are $5 for adults (18 and older). Those 17 and younger are admitted free, but they must have a ticket to enter. General admission tickets enable access to the grandstand area for shows.
Tickets to the VIP area are $10 for people 21 and older and $8 for those younger than 21. The VIP area allows close access to the stage and features a cash bar by Dead Mann’s Saloon.
