American Power & Equipment, 28020 Kramer Drive, Waterford, hopes to relocate by Dec. 1 into foreclosed industrial property recently purchased at 4144 Northwest Highway 83, Waterford.
The new site, located on a bend of the highway across from the Cotton Exchange Restaurant, consists of four buildings on a six-acre site and was sold by Citizens Bank of Mukwonago.
Most recently, the property was the site for Kowalske’s Pellet Stoves.
Before that, the property housed Woodland Pier 1, which sold and serviced boats and outboards.
The recent purchase and planned move by American Power is connected with the upcoming closing of the Landmark Power Center on Milwaukee Street in Burlington, according to owner Bonnie Magestro.
American Power is expanding and needs additional space as it begins selling the Simplicity line of outdoor power equipment previously sold only by Landmark in this area, she explained.
American Power plans to occupy two of the buildings on the Highway 83 site, with the other two buildings leased out to tenants, according to a press release from Kurt Van Dyke of Cassidy Turley Barry in Milwaukee.
