A 17-year-old Union Grove teen is facing felony and misdemeanor weapons charges for selling a set of brass knuckles that contained a switchblade to a Waterford Union High School student in February.
According to the criminal complaint filed Oct. 11 in Racine County Court:
Adam John Funk sold the brass knuckles to a 16-year-old WUHS student on Feb. 27. School officials called police Feb. 28 after they found the weapon on the 16-year-old on school property.
A Village of Waterford police officer interviewed the 16-year-old student, who told him he had purchased the brass knuckles from Funk the previous day for $10 after Funk had approached him in the school cafeteria and offered to sell them to him.
Funk is facing up to five years in prison and/or $30,000 in fines if convicted.
Funk is scheduled to appear for an initial hearing in Racine County Circuit Court on Oct. 25.
