River Market returns to Ten Club Park

The Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce, along with sponsors Runzheimer International and Latitudes Travel, welcome the Waterford River Market back to its roots in Ten Club Park every Wednesday now through Oct. 10, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“Our regular vendors requested the move back to Ten Club,” said Jennifer Thomas, executive director for the chamber.

“It’s easily accessible from any direction, it’s a great space, and it speaks to the history of the area.”

River Market vendors for 2012 range from custom-engraved wood items to in-season fresh produce to kettle corn and flavored butters.

Entertainment and dining options will be on site during public market hours.

“We’re excited about the vendors we have on board this year because we’ve expanded the product selection while helping our local area businesses increase traffic and really get their names out there,” said Thomas.

Full- and half-season space is still available for market vendors.

New market management, Kristal Kowalski of the Waterford Chamber and Jackie Boutan, longtime market vendor of Jake’s Kettle Corn, will be on site for inquiries pertaining to the market or its vendors.

“The River Market is a great way to shop local while getting outside to enjoy an afternoon or evening by the river,” said Thomas.
