The Waterford Village Board has approved a request by the Tichigan Snowmobile Club to have a marked snowmobile trail run along sections of Highway 83.
The trail will be in the village’s right-of-way, but will abut property owners’ homes and businesses.
Perry Baumann, a member of the club, said members would remain on the right-of-way, which will be clearly identified along the trail.
The board’s action is for this winter, meaning the club will need to reappear to make another request in a year to have use such a trail again.
