The proposed 2013 budget for the Village of Waterford contains familiar items that electors have approved in the past, but also some new updates going forward.
Once again, the village’s tax levy will hold steady at $2.693 million – the same amount of taxes levied each year since 2009.
And once again, the village mil rate for $1,000 assessed property valuation will hold steady at around the $6.50 rate now in effect.
Under that mil rate, the owner of a $200,000 home in the village pays $1,300 in local taxes.
Public hearing
The village’s 2013 budget proposal will be presented at a public hearing on Monday, Nov. 26, 6:30 p.m., at the Village Hall, just ahead of the regular monthly meeting of the Village Board.
