A 36-year-old Waterford woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to snatch a purse from another shopper at the Waterford Pick ‘n Save store earlier this month.
Racine County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the 36-year-old Tuesday. She is not named here pending issuance of formal charges.
According to sheriff’s officials, the victim, who was shopping at the grocery store the evening of Dec. 10, was able to wrestle her purse away from the snatcher, who eventually fled the store.
The sheriff’s office is seeking charges of attempted robbery, attempted theft and disorderly conduct against the suspect. See next week’s Waterford Post for more on this story.
