Attendees of Absolutely Waterford’s second annual dinner meeting will share a glimpse of how the organization has met its mission in a short period of time, as well as learn what future projects are in the works.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Marty’s Restaurant and Fiesta Hall, 201 W. Main St., with dinner and cocktails following at 5:30 p.m.
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
With only two years since its inception, Absolutely Waterford has much to be proud of, according to the non-profit group’s executive director, Michelle Bores-Stockton.
“Come learn about how Absolutely Waterford’s board and volunteers are working together to put Waterford on the map and draw people to our unique and charming downtown,” Bores-Stockton said.
“This is a great opportunity for current and future supporters to network and exchange ideas on how to transform and celebrate our village.”
During the Feb. 19 meeting, an election of members to the Board of Directors, highlights of the past year’s accomplishment and recognition of supporters will take place.
Mike Ciezki has been elected to succeed President Morena Marquez, owner of Martini Mo’z, who has led the organization for the past two years. Ciezki, owner of In Home Floor & Window Fashions, will begin a two-year term.
Tickets are $20 per person, with cash bar. Musical entertainment will be provided by Waterford High School students. Registration and payment is due no later than Thursday, Feb. 14, online at absolutelywaterford.org, or by mail at 201 E. Main St., Waterford, WI 53185.
