Park sex assault suspect sought

Racine County Sheriff’s investigators are seeking an individual to question about a suspected sexual assault that occurred in a restroom at East Eagle Park in Rochester on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

According to a media release from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the park shortly before 1 p.m., Tuesday.

Upon arrival, they were advised that an assault may have occurred in a restroom located near the baseball diamonds on the east side of the park.

Deputies learned that a group of developmentally disabled citizens were visiting the park that afternoon, and had stopped to use the restroom.

The group chaperone said one of the males in the group was in the restroom for an extended period of time and she became concerned due to his special needs.

Upon further investigation, the chaperone made entry into the restroom and observed a white male exit one of the stalls with his pants unzipped and his genitalia partially exposed.

Immediately after the suspect exited the stall and walked out of the restroom, the disabled male stepped out of the same stall.

The suspect then entered what is described as a newer four-door black vehicle and exited the park in an unknown direction. No other information or plate information was available.

The suspect is described as an older white male wearing a yellow polo-style shirt and khaki pants. No other description of the suspect is available; the potential victim is non-verbal.
