While workers have been painting and sprucing up St. Thomas Aquinas School in Waterford for the new school year, interim principal Greg Groth spent his summer searching for and helping St. Thomas hire a new principal to replace Pam Kramer, who said goodbye in June to the school family with whom she worked for 14 years.
Groth, who was principal at Catholic Central High School in Burlington from 2007 to 2012, agreed to come out of retirement to help CCHS find and hire its new principal for 2014-15.
Groth did the same for St. Thomas and is thrilled with the result, saying: “I think we hit the jackpot!”
Dr. Linda Andrejek began work this month as principal at St. Thomas.
She has been an educator for 19 years, mainly in the Chicago area, with about half her career in Catholic schools and the other half in public education.
“However, my heart has always most definitely been with the Catholic schools!” Andrejek said.

What a wonderful addition to a great school!
does anyone know why Dr. Andrejek only stayed at St Thomas Aquinas for 1 year?
I’d love to know why especially since she’s become the principal at our school here in IL. I’m curious to know how families felt about her and her visions and changes she made to the school while there.
