The annual Waterford Area School Band Festival (WASBF) and concert is Friday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m., in the Waterford High School gymnasium. The concert is free to the public.
WASBF was founded in 2005 with the goal of bringing all Waterford area student musicians together for a daylong clinic and concert. The festival combines the band programs from Washington-Caldwell, North Cape, St. Thomas Aquinas, Evergreen, Trailside, Woodfield, Fox River and Waterford High schools.
Immediately following the WASBF concert, the Waterford Wolverine Band Boosters Italian Dinner will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m., in the Commons. High school band students will serve as servers for dine-in customers, or guests can take home a carryout meal. Each dinner is $8 and includes choice of a spaghetti dinner with salad, bread and a beverage, or an Italian beef sandwich with chips and a beverage. A kid’s meal of hot dog, chips, cookie and a beverage is $4. Proceeds support the WUHS band program.
