Traditional homecoming events planned for next week

Nearly two years after the COVID-19 virus began to completely change our way of life, things are finally getting back to normal here in Waterford.
With the return to a sense of normality, comes the return of Waterford Union High School’s homecoming traditions. From the high school’s homecoming pep rally to the town’s parade, residents and students alike are absolutely ecstatic about the upcoming events.
Now the question stands to what homecoming events will be making their triumphant returns this fall. The week of the Sept. 20 at the school includes dress-up days with the theme “Through the Decades;” a pep assembly on Friday, and the parade at 5:30 p.m. that same day.
Some may recall the high school’s homecoming dance was replaced by a red carpet walk on the football field last year. This year, however, Waterford High School will host a traditional dance on Saturday, Sept. 25.
More information is posted on Waterford Union High School’s website for students who want to join in on the fun.
