The Waterford Lions Club will host its traditional Independence Day parade on Monday.
This year’s theme is “In God We Trust”
The fun begins with the kids parade at 10:30 a.m. Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. at Milwaukee and Main streets for those who wish to participate.
Check-in for entries in the main parade begins at 9:30 a.m. at Fifth and Aber streets.
The main parade steps off at 11 a.m. at Seventh and Main streets, proceeds west to Milwaukee Street and then north to Trailside School.
“We would like to encourage people of all ages to participate in the parade,” organizers said. “In the past, floats have been made with much imagination and creativity, in keeping with the parade theme.”
All entrants in the parade that wish to be judged will be eligible for a cash prize. Cash prizes are awarded to first and second place in several divisions.
