Alice Ann Grosshuesch, 83, formerly of Waterford, died Sept. 18, 2011, at her son’s home in Rockwall, Texas. She was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Burlington, to the late Glenn and Edith (Hibbard) Aspinall.
She grew up on the family farm in Rochester, graduating from the Ag School in 1947.
She married Herbert Grosshuesch Nov. 1, 1952. They traveled extensively before and after retirement. They moved to Texas in 2007 to be near family.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, and crossword puzzles. Her many neighbors and friends will remember her gracious hospitality.
Survivors include her husband; children, Robert and Desmion Grosshuesch, Rockwall, Texasm Nadith and Mark Smith, Gillette, Wyo.; sisters, Mary Aspinall, Rochester, Patricia (Jerome) Helding, Elko, Minn., Phyllis (Joseph) Zelenski, Burlington; grandchildren, Jacob (Jeanne) Grosshuesch, Desmi (Summer) Grosshuesch, Leah Garcia, Lucas Black, Marcus Black, Meagan (Joshua) Black, Justin (Katie) Black; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was further preceded in death by her brother, Robert Aspinall.
