Dean R. Aspinall, 81, Burlington, died Nov. 12, 2011, at Aurora Burlington Hospital. He was born Feb. 3, 1930, in Burlington, to the late Allen and Mildred (Fraser) Aspinall. He spent his early life in Honey Creek and graduated from Rochester Ag School. He then attended UW-Madison Short Course.
On Oct. 8, 1955, in Honey Creek, he married Janeane Louden. Following marriage they made their home in Honey Creek before moving to Burlington 20 years ago.
He worked as a wood pattern maker as well as being a truck driver and a farmer. He was an active member of the Community Baptist Church in Honey Creek and had been a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader. He enjoyed dart ball, playing cards, golfing and bowling, where he served as secretary for the league.
Survivors include his loving wife; children, Sue (Tom) Rossmiller, Burlington, Steve (Peggy) Aspinall, Honey Creek; grandchildren, Shea and Bryce Rossmiller and Cyndi and Brian Aspinall; his brothers, Gerald (Shirley) Aspinall, Honey Creek, and Richard (Ethel) Aspinall, Grays Lake, Ill.
He was further preceded in death by two infant children.
Visitation is Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 4-8 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington, and again Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Honey Creek Community Baptist Church, 35512 Washington Ave. (Hwy. D), from 10 a.m., until time of services at 11 a.m.. The Rev. Jane Mathison will officiate. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Memorials to Honey Creek Community Baptist Church are suggested.
