Julie (Julia) Ruth Rossi, 79, Cornville, Ariz., died Sept. 9, 2011. She was born on June 8, 1932, to the late Robert and Helen Bayer of Burlington.
She graduated from Burlington High School in 1950 as the class valedictorian. She attended Lawrence University in Appleton. She will be much missed as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was a former resident of Kenosha. She married Richard G. Rossi of Kenosha, on April 25, 1953. After living in Kenosha for 16 years, the family moved to Bloomington, Minn.
She enjoyed gardening, the arts, music, reading, and crossword puzzle.
In 1985 they moved to Mesa, Ariz., and in 2005 to Cornville.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years; children, Lynn Matthews (Frank) of Sedona, Ariz.; Mark Rossi of Eden Prairie, Minn.; Carrie Rossi of Flower Mound, Texas, and a brother, Fred Bayer (Joan) of Vancouver, Wash.; grandchildren, Jordan Grace Matthews, Carrilyn Rossi, Max Rossi and Roxanne Gonzalez.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, at All Saints Mausoleum in Kenosha. Buehler Funeral Home, Cottonwood, Ariz., assisted the family.
