Kay “Sissy” Charlene Harder, 63, formerly of Burlington, died at her residence in Minneapolis on Sept. 30, 2011. She was born Sept. 2, 1948, in St. Paul, Minn., to the late Roy and Jean Fladwood.
She grew up in Alexandria, Minn., where she graduated from Jefferson High School and later attended the University of Minnesota.
She raised three sons, Jason (Karen) Motl, Winona, Minn., Travis (Rachel) Harder, Burlington, and Ian Harder, El Centro, Calif., at their house in Burlington while working for the Standard Press as an assistant editor.
She later moved to the Minneapolis area to be closer to her sisters and worked at the University of Minneapolis.
She loved watching movies, reading and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her brother Delmer (Roxanne) Fladwood, sisters Mary Jo (Mike) Baglio and Patti Lu Fladwood, her sons Jason, Travis and Ian and grandchildren, Kayla, Abigail and Jack whom knew her as “Nonnie.”
She was further preceded in death by her stepfather, Walter Anderson; infant sister, Connie Lee; brother, James, and nephew Andrew.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Church of St. William in Fridley, Minn., on Tuesday, Oct. 4.
She wished to be cremated and placed to rest at a later date with her family at Union Cemetery in Maplewood, Minn.
