Agnes P. Bennett, 90, Burlington, died Nov. 21, 2012, at Kindred Health Care, Burlington. She was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Coon Rapids, Iowa, to the late Elmer and Mary Reed Knight.
She married Percy H. Bennett Feb. 14, 1942, in Maryville, Mo. He preceded her in death Jan. 25, 2007.
She worked at Surgeons Department Store, Burlington, for 35 years, retiring in 1986.
Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn (Henry) Roth, Burlington, Doris (Clarence) Gauger, Lake Geneva; sons, Robert (Kay) George, Michigan City, Ind., Henry (Elaine) Bennett, Burlington; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille (Max) Higley, Roseville, Calif., Hazel (Marvin) Lowe, Riverside, Calif., Ruth Maas, Council Bluff, Iowa; brother, Melvin Knight, Des Moines, Iowa.
She was further preceded in death by siblings, Donald and Cecil Knight, and Inez Phipps.
Funeral services were Nov. 24, at Steinke Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, with the Rev. Daniel Vojta of Peace Lutheran Church in Burlington, officiating. Burial was in Hudson Cemetery, Lyons.
