Ann Fogerty, 89, Burlington, died March 9, 2012, at Arbor View Communities. She was born April 3, 1922, to the late John and Mary (Calopka) Stadler in Emmet Township. She spent her early life in Watertown attending grade school in Fort Atkinson, high school in Lake Mills and graduated from Kenosha Tech with a LPN nursing degree.
She married the late George Fogerty on Sept. 22, 1944, at St. Henry’s Church in Watertown. Following marriage they lived in Lexington, Mass., then Watertown, moving to Burlington in 1957. She worked as an LPN in Watertown and Waukesha Hospitals finishing up her career as a nurse at Burlington Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and enjoyed gardening, sewing and making rugs.
Survivors include her children, Theresa Williams, Fort Worth, Texas, James (Yvonne) Fogerty, Evanston, Ill., Richard (Jane) Fogerty, Greendale; brother, Edwin (Genevieve) Stadler, Watertown; grandchildren, Corinne (Joel) Jorgenson, Camille (Rob) Yocum, Nicole Fogerty, Brian Fogerty, Beth Fogerty, Joseph (Amy) Fogerty, Daniel (Jonni) Fogerty; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was further preceded in death by her infant son, David William, and a sister Margaret Stadler.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated March 13, at St, Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev James Volkert officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, Burlington, assisted the family.
