Bernadine Marie Van Roy, 81, died unexpectedly Sept. 10, 2012. She was born to that late Harry and Antoinette (Tilkens) Van Roy in Green Bay.
She was the beloved mother of Christiane (Jon) Palubicki, Marc Kraus (Tina Kosobucki) Lisa Pharo (Michael Youngs) and Laura Kraus; grandmother of Ash (Melissa) Pharo, Brett Pharo (Katrina Denoyer), Kayla Pyne (Nick Black) and Vincent Pyne; siblings, Mary (Howard) Mueller, Alyce (Ralph) Stahlberg and Kathleen Schneider; step-grandmother of Kristi (Tim) Riebe, Ethan and Trevor Palubicki; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her children, Jon Kraus and Juliane Kraus; son-in-law, Michael Pharo, and brothers-in-law, Patrick Schneider and Roger Simonet.
She was a proud graduate of the Marquette School of Nursing and a devoted member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She loved reading, watching Jeopardy and spending time with her grandchildren as well as taking day trips with her Elkhorn travel group. She would often tell her family and friends, “God loves you and I do too.”
Visitation is Friday, Sept. 28, from 5 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 S. First St., Waterford. Integrity Funeral Services, Waterford, is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to St. Thomas Aquinas or donations to the Humane Society.
