Dale E. Walesa, 72, Burlington, died April 21, 2012, with her children by her side in Clermont, Fla. She was born May 9, 1939, in Chicago, to the late Milton and Vera (Matthews) Waldie. She grew up in Chicago and attended St. Viator’s Grade School and Good Counsel High School.
On Aug. 29, 1959, she married Robert I. Walesa at St Viator’s Catholic Church in Chicago. Following marriage they lived in Chicago, Park Ridge, Ill., Burlington, and Clermont.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, sewing, painting and was an avid “Days of Our Lives” fan.
Survivors include daughters, Kim Walesa, Sandy Walesa; sons, Bob-0 Walesa (fiancée Mary Ann Polk and family), David (Pam) Walesa and daughter; grandchildren, Wednesday Walesa, Kyle Chriske, R.J. Larson, Haley and Luke Walesa and loving canine companion Zoe.
Private inurnment is Monday, May 7, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Burlington. Deacon Stan Lowe will officiate. Relatives and friends may gather that day at 7775 Lakeview Drive, Burlington, from 3-6 p.m., for a celebration of Dale’s life. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, Burlington, is assisting the family.
She will be remembered as a very loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by all.
