Diane M. Chart, 51, Winchester, died Sept. 8, 2012, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. She was born in Burlington on Dec. 28, 1960, to James G. and Margaret I. (Kerkhoff) Crowley. She spent her early life in Burlington and was a graduate of both St. Mary’s High School and Alverno College.
On December 16, 1995 at Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory (The Domes), she married Steven F. Chart. In 2006 they moved to Winchester.
She was the executive director at North Woods Wildlife Center and a member of the Rotary Club, the Babe Ruth Baseball Program and the Youth Exchange Program. She enjoyed nature and photography as well as supporting her children at their sporting events and other activities. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband; children, Rebecca Schouten, Jessica Schouten, Dylan Chart and Austin Chart; her parents; in-laws, Fred and Rosie Chart; sisters, Jacqueline (Bob) Riggs and Lisa (Mike) Tenhagen; sister-in-law, Sandra (Steve) Ramczyk; nieces and nephews, Brian and Alyssa Riggs, Jared and Sadie Tenhagen, and Courtney and Caila Ramczyk.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Lucille Crowley and Henry and Margaret Kerkhoff.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Burlington with the Rev. Gene Doda officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, Sept. 30, from 1-5 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. A celebration of Diane’s life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Campanile Center in Minocqua, from 1-4 p.m. Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, Burlington, is serving the family.
