Donald F. Wagner, 94, a lifelong resident of Lyons, died June 14, 2012, at Waterford Senior Living. He was born Aug. 19, 1917, to the late Peter and Mary (Mueseler) Wagner.
On Oct. 24, 1942, he married Hildegarde Kornhoff at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2003. He continued to farm in Lyons with his parents until 1952 when he moved to the village of Lyons. He worked at Trent Tube in East Troy for 32 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Parish where he did custodial work for the parish and school. He and his wife volunteered for many years for Vocational Industries in Elkhorn.
Survivors include his children, Francis (Carol), Rita (Ed) Larsen; and Edward; grandchildren, Juliann (Scott) Christensen, David (Cathy) Wagner, Don (Sandy) Larsen, Doug (Kari) Larsen, and Kevin (Serina) Larsen; seven great-grandchildren and an eighth soon to arrive; sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Tenfel, Gwen Stock and Dorothy Heinrich; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his brother, George, and sister, Mildred.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lyons. Nieman/Suminski Funeral Home, Milwaukee, served the family.
