Doris E. Swartz, 94, Burlington, died at her home on June 4, 2012. She was born June 17, 1917, in Minneapolis, to the late John A. and Theresea E. Ostrom. She moved with her parents to Kenosha where she graduated Kenosha High School.
On Dec. 27, 1945, in Kenosha, she married Arthur J. Swartz, after his return from World War II. They had been married for 67 years. Doris and Art moved to Rochester in 1968. She became a realtor and worked in that profession into her early 80s. She joined Cross Lutheran Church when she moved to the area and had remained an active member.
Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years; son, Mark (Mary Jo) Swartz; grandchildren, Elizabeth Etchells, John Swartz and Mickey Swartz; great-grandchildren, Milo and Felix Etchells.
Visitation is Thursday, June 7, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m., at Cross Lutheran Church with the Rev. Carolyn Sellers officiating. Burial is Thursday, at 1:30 p.m., at Sunset Ridge Cemetery in Kenosha. Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, Burlington, is assisting the family.
