Dorothy Mae Dyson, 80, Antigo, died Nov. 11, 2012, at her home under the care of her husband and Le Royer Hospice.
She was born Aug. 27, 1932, in the Town of Norwood to the late Paul John, Sr. and Gladys (Bowen) Fritsch.
On Feb. 28, 1953, she married Leroy Dyson at First Baptist Church in Antigo.
She worked as a news editor, in the credit department at Sears and Roebuck in Racine, and in the advertising department at Oster, Inc. in Racine. She and her husband also owned and operated a farm in Burlington, for 47 years.
She was active in 4-H as a member and a leader, a member of the Extension Homemakers for 40 years, a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of American Colonists, National Iris, Daylily, and Peony Societies. She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1952.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Mary (Charles) Ghilani of Pennsylvania; sons, Alan Dyson of Antigo and John (Lisa) Dyson of Slinger; sisters, Eileen (Donald) Artz of Rothschild, and Bonnie (Kenneth) Brand of Spooner; and brother, Paul J. Fritsch, Jr. of West Salem.
She was further preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Clarence DeLyria and Leonard Bombinski.
Visitation is Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, Antigo. A service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Louise Sanford will officiate.
