Elaine (Ambos) Bakke Draves ‘Pidge,’ 89, died July 21, 2012, at Holton Manor Nursing Home in Elkhorn.
She was born March 22, 1923, in Milwaukee, to the late Andrew J. and Irma Ambos.
She married Ben Bakke in 1943. They moved to Waterford in 1944. In 1956, they moved to Rochester where she lived for 50 years. Ten years after Ben’s death, she married Rolland Draves. He preceded her in death.
For most of her entire life, Pidge was actively involved with Norway Lutheran Church and Burlington Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Bakke, Ellison Bay; daughter, Jeane McKenna, Kansas City; grandchildren, Christopher Bakke, Heather (Bakke) Chambers, Cale Bakke, Ryan Lefebvre, Travis McKenna; great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Rehbein, Racine; nieces and nephews.
She was further preceded in death by her brother, Andrew W. Ambos.
Services and burial will be private. Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, Burlington, assisted the family.
