James E. Delahoyde, 64, died Aug. 17, 2012, in Medina, Ohio. He was born Sept. 8, 1947, in Burlington, to the late Earl and Audrey (Smith) Delahoyde.
He was in technical sales throughout his career. He was passionate about his hobbies, enjoying photography, fly fishing, and hiking and camping. Jim was a Boy Scout leader and was a member of the Appalachian Trail Conference. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Judith (Loeser); children, Jonathan Delahoyde of Hawaii, Emily (fiancé Michael Brown) Delahoyde of Wadsworth, Ohio; mother-in-law, Ivie Loeser of Milwaukee; siblings, Susan (Mike) Archer of Milwaukee; Louise Blakely of Whitewater; Patty (James) Flanagan of Annville, Pa., William (Melinda) Delahoyde of Raleigh, N.C.; and 10 nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Thursday, Aug. 23, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, Ohio. Services are Friday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 317 E. Liberty St., Medina, Ohio. The Rev. Allan Belton will officiate. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
