Joel Alan Oakwood, 44, Burlington, died Jan. 6, 2012, at Aurora Memorial Hospital of Burlington. He was born Aug. 10, 1967, to Donald and Gloria (Trick) Oakwood in Burlington. He was a lifetime resident of Burlington graduating from Burlington High School and Gateway Technical School.
He loved sports and was an avid Packer fan. He was a skilled tradesman and especially enjoyed helping his friends with anything that needed fixing.
Survivors include his mother; a brother, Eric (Karen) Oakwood; and a niece, Tanya Gilbert.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A private Inurnment will take place at Burlington Cemetery. Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, Burlington, is assisting the family.
