Julie A. Spitzer, 57, of Burlington, died at her residence Oct. 2, 2012. She was born in Burlington on Sept. 18, 1955 to LeRoy and Joyce (nee Tauscher) Stoehr.
She had spent her early life in Burlington and was a graduate of Burlington High School.
She married John R. Spitzer on Aug. 29, 1975 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington, then Stevens Point and Livingston, and came back to Burlington in 1987. John preceded Julie in death on Dec. 28, 2009.
Julie loved gardening and music and was her husband’s biggest fan. She was a pet lover as well as being creative and artistic. Most of all Julie loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Sarah (Allen) Josing and Kevin (Jess Gould); grandchildren, Jordan and Brett Josing and baby Lydia Ann Spitzer who is on the way; her parents; siblings, Bill (Mary) Stoehr, Dan (Kacey) Stoehr, Debra (Denny) Dean and Linda (Bob) Menzia; in-laws, Robert and Delores; brother-in-law, Jeff (Judith); and sister-in-law, Susan (Tommy) Costello. Julie is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Dr., Burlington. The Rev. Carolyn Sellers will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Burlington Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society, in memory of her husband John, are suggested.
