Kenneth P. Miller, 80, Waterford, died Jan. 3, 2012, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born in Milwaukee, May 23, 1931, to the late Peter and Caroline (Mickelson) Miller.
He was a graduate of Marquette High School and went on to study at Marquette University, also attending MSOE during his working years.
On Oct. 17, 1953, he married Beverly J. Engel at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford.
He served his country in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He was a Quality Assurance Manager for Allis Chalmers for many years and had also worked for Treat All Metals. As a long time member of St. Thomas Church he served as an usher. He also served on the Waterford Village Board as a trustee and as a member of the Waterford Lions Club he held the president’s office for a term.
In his younger days he loved to golf and bowl. Later on he cherished time in the north woods near Stormy Lake.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years: son, Greg (Jill) Miller; grandsons, Daniel and David; brother, Gordon (Trudy) Miller; sister-in-law, Audrey Rosenthal; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Jan. 10, from 10-11:45 a.m., with services at noon at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 307 S. First St. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is assisting the family.
