Raymond J. Post, 94, died Dec. 8, 2012, at Walnut Grove Assisted Living in Lake Geneva. He was born on Nov. 7, 1918, in Milwaukee to the late Arthur and Anna (Thiede) Post.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired from Nestles, where he worked as a shift supervisor. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lyons, the American Legion Post 327 in Lyons and the Burlington V.F.W. Post 2823.
He was the beloved husband of Mildred (Gettelman) for 45 years. They made their home in East Troy and then Lyons. She preceded him in death in 1992.
Survivors include his daughters, Linda Pou, Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Catherine (Edward) Olejniczak, Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Rebecca and Jason Olejniczak; nieces; nephews; and friends.
He was further preceded in death by his brother, Arthur.
Visitation is Friday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 1540 Mill St., Lyons. Burial will follow Mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, Burlington, is serving the family.
