Renata C. Kerkman, 64, Burlington, died June 2, 2012, at her home. She was born June 5, 1947, to Thomas and Irma (Natale) Dunn in Offenbach, Germany, where she lived until age 6. After coming to the United States she first lived in Tennessee then moved to Burlington in 1955.
On May 16, 1970, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, she married Roman “Romie” Kerkman. Following marriage they resided in Burlington.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She loved to bake and do crafts. She also enjoyed watching movies, listening to music and dancing.
Survivors include her mother, Burlington; sons, Joe (fiancée Shannon Conroy) Kerkman, and Bob Kerkman, Burlington; siblings, Linda (Dave) Wade, Michael (Chris) Dunn, Lorna Dunn, Deone (John) Earhart, James (Trish) Dunn, Sherry Dunn; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Gordon Schenning, Fran Kerkman, Joan (Bob) Ziccarelli, Kenneth (Lorna) Kerkman, Donald (Joan) Kerkman, Judith (Bill) Klein and Janice (John) Koons.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009; her dad; her father- and mother-in-law, Michael and Mary Kerkman; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Genevieve (Harold) Brustman, Geraldine Schenning and Michael Kerkman.
Visitation is Thursday, June 7, from 4-8 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday June 8, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. James Volkert officiated. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
