Richard W. Teschler, 64, Union Grove died April 13, 2012, at his residence. He was born Nov. 6, 1947, to the late Joseph and Catherine (Herron) Teschler in Ladysmith, where he spent his early life and graduated from Ladysmith High School.
He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
On June 20, 1987, he married Beth Anderson at Calvary Memorial Church in Racine. Following marriage they resided in Union Grove.
He worked as an IT Specialist at Wheaton Franciscan Memorial Hospital, RAMAC, AMI and Young Radiator. He was a former member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He attended Crossway Community Church, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, coaching baseball and being retired. He was an avid sports fan but more than anything he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife; children, Amanda (Nick Gerovac) Teschler, Union Grove, Brandon Teschler, Union Grove, Richard (Laura) Teschler, Kansas City, Kan.; his mother; siblings, Roger (Betty) Teschler, Mary Frohn, Joe (Kathy) Teschler and Terry (Judy) Erdman.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation is Monday, April 16, from 4-7 p.m. at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, 908 11th Ave., Union Grove.
Services are Tuesday April 17, at Crossway Community Church at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Mark Rogers officiating. Burial is April 17, at 1 p.m., at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove.
