Robert J. Beck, 93, Waterford, died Aug. 6, 2012. He was born in Waterford on May 22, 1919, to the late Anthony and Laura (Falk) Beck.
He proudly served his country during World War II, and was a current member of the American Legion Post 20.
On Feb. 12, 1944, he married Bernice M. Eckert. He was a butcher and the proud owner of Becks Food Market for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife; children, Michael of Burlington, Gregory (Sandy) of Rochester, Robert (Pam) of Waterford, James of Milwaukee; grandchildren, Anthony, Alexi, Kristine, Dylan, Andrew and Kandiss; great-grandchild, Hadlee; brother, Paul (Mary), Milwaukee; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sam Eckert and Rosella Eckert; other relatives and friends.
Visitation is Saturday, Aug. 11, from 9 to 10:45 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 S. First St., Waterford. Burial follows Mass in the church cemetery. Mealy Funeral Home, Inc., Waterford, is serving the family.
