Roland R. Brown, 87, Waterford, died May 29, 2012, at Memorial Hospital of Burlington. He was born Oct. 25, 1924, to the late Walter and Elise (Sonderman) Brown in Waukesha County. He attended Washington Grade School.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 through 1956 and was stationed in Germany. He worked more than 30 years at C&H Harnischfeger Co. in Milwaukee as a crane operator.
He married Vivian Weber on Sept. 15, 2001, in Elkhorn. He enjoyed gardening and raising animals.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian; sisters, Ruth (Art) Delzer of Abrams, and Myrtle (Robert) Bucholtz of Eagle River; brothers, Melvin Brown of Waterford, Leslie (Edwina) Brown of Mount Pleasant, and Ralph Brown of Waterford; nieces; nephews and stepchildren.
He was further preceded in death by his wife Barbara of 43 years.
Visitation is Wednesday, June 6, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive. Burial will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
