Theresa J. “Terry” Rossmiller, 87, Burlington, died Aug. 13, 2012, at Kindred Nursing & Rehab in Burlington.
She was born on April 15, 1925, in Burlington, to the late Bernard and Helen (Wolf) Ahler. She had been a lifetime resident of Burlington and a graduate of St. Mary’s High School.
On May 1, 1947, at St. Mary’s Church in Burlington, she married Everett H. Rossmiller. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1968.
She worked as a secretary for Murphy Products, AMPI and First Banking Center. She had also worked the cosmetic counter at Jackson’s Drug Store and Tobin’s Drug Store. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Burlington Ukulele Band, and the American Legion Auxiliary, serving as past Unit President and past State Sgt of Arms from 1974 to 1975. She was known for her love of baking.
Survivors include her son, Tom (Sue) Rossmiller, Burlington; grandchildren, Shea and Bryce Rossmiller, Burlington; her siblings, Charles (Mary) Ahler, Michigan, and Monica (Harry) Miller, Milwaukee; other relatives and many friends.
She was further preceded in death by her siblings, Gerard Ahler, Robert Ahler Sr., and Bernadine Nelson.
Visitation is Friday, Aug. 17, from 4-7 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Family Funeral Home, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 18, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. James Volkert will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials to the Wisconsin Lions Foundation to be used in the Hearing Center are suggested.
