Barbara L. Allison, 95, died March 9, 2013, in Waterford, at her daughter Pam Schmidt’s home.
She was born in Seattle, Wash., on Oct. 18, 1917, to the late Donald and Pearl (Blow) Kitchen. She was employed in the blueprinting department of Boeing Aircraft Manufacturing in Seattle, where she retired. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, flowers and gardening, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She will be missed by her family.
Survivors include her children, Karl Fix, Pamila (W. James) Schmidt, Thomas Allison, Susanna Allison and Barbara (Charles) Lumbert; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives; friends; and her loyal companion Pugsey.
She was further preceded in death by her daughters, Debra and Susanna; and brother, Donald.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent, Wash. Mealy Funeral Home, Waterford, is serving the family.
