Barbara Ann Thuemmler 89, Burlington, formerly Town of Brighton, died peacefully March 9, 2013, at Pine Brook Pointe, Burlington.
She was born Dec. 21, 1923, to the late Emil and Molly (Ketterhagen) Daniels in the Town of Brighton.
On Nov. 28, 1946, she married the late Theodore Thuemmler at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Brighton. Following marriage they resided and raised their family in the Town of Brighton. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, a former president of the Ladies Society of the Church and a member of the Women’s C.O. F of Brighton.
Survivors include her daughters, Janice (Andy) Bellis, Plymouth, Mich., Kay (Jake) Jacobson, Racine, Lori (Steven) Veh, Kenosha; sons, Steven (Karen) Thuemmler, Burlington, James (Dolly) Thuemmler, Wheatland; 13 Grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert Daniels, Richard (Doris) Daniels, Rose (Donald) Vos, Rita Vos, Monie Ludwig; sister-in law, Rosemary Daniels; nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.
She was further preceded in death by her siblings, Arthur, Mary, Kathleen; sister-in-law, Lorraine Daniels; brothers-in-law, Urban Mich, Arthur Vos and Leo Ludwig.
Visitation is Thursday, March 14, from 4-8 p.m., with a prayer vigil at 7:30 p.m., at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home & Crematory, 625 Browns Lake Drive, Burlington. Visitation will also be held Friday, March 15, from 10-10:45 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Russ Arnett will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials be made to St. Francis Xavier Church.
