CONSTANCE M. KRAMER

Constance Mary Kramer, 91, Burlington, died May 11, 2013, at Lakeland Health Care Center, Elkhorn.

She was born Sept. 16, 1921, in Burlington, to the late Harry A. and Leona (Pieters) Terry. She was a lifetime resident of Burlington and a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and Marquette University.

On May 18, 1946, in Burlington, she married Paul L. Kramer. Together they made their home in Burlington. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1992.

She was Burlington’s first dental hygienist, a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Burlington. She enjoyed traveling, art, music, reading and ceramics.

Survivors include her children, Terry (Dan) Beam, Carlsbad, Texas, Nancy Bassett, Burlington, Julie Kramer, Burlington, Jeffrey (Brenda Long) Kramer, Burlington, Jane (Dan) Thomas, Willow Springs, Mo., Karl Kramer, Burlington; grandchildren, Jason Beam, Sam Beam, Greta (Rob) Bassett-Seymour, Allyn (Kirk) Connors, Nathan (Bonny) Bassett, Jamil Hussein, Kristal Kramer, Carolyn Kramer, Jarod Helland, Charley Anne Kramer, Paul Dempsey Kramer; great-grandson, Owen Connors.

She was further preceded in death by her brothers, Victor Terry and Roger Terry; and son-in-law, Richard Bassett.

Visitation is Thursday, May 16, from 4-5:45 p.m., with Mass of Christian Burial at 6 p.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Good Shepherd Chapel, Burlington. The Rev. Robert Kacalo is officiating. Burial is Friday May 17, at 10 a.m., in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
