Edmund ‘Mick’ Robers, 90, Exeland, Wis., died April 27, 2013, at Our House Memory Hospice, Rice Lake.
He was born Oct. 16, 1922, in Burlington, to the late Ben and Regina Richter Robers.
He married Mae Kathryn Maurice June 10, 1950, in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Brighton. They farmed in Kenosha County until retiring in 1982. They moved to Exeland following their retirement and continued to help with the sons’ family farm until January of 2013.
Survivors include his wife; children, Mike and Elaine Robers, Exeland; Patti and Tim Wyss, Clear Lake, Terri and Jerry Kobriger, Racine, John Robers, Clear Lake; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Robers; sister, Bernice Elderbrook, both Burlington; sister-in-law, Rita Kemen, Bristol; brothers-in-law, Robert and Eugene Maurice, both Burlington, and Raymond Maurice, Raleigh, N.C.
He was further preceded in death by his brother, Robert Robers; sister, Margaret Grulich; brothers-in-law, Carl Grulich, Ed Elderbrook, Allie Kemen, Leonard Placzkowski; sisters-in-law, Ethel Robers, Pat Robers, Hilde Robers, Renata Placzkowski, Sr. Eugenia Maurice.
Visitation is Friday, May 3, after 4 p.m., with a Scripture service at 7 p.m., at Nash – Jackan Funeral Home in Bruce. Funeral services are Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Radisson. The Rev. Patrick Hardy and Deacon James Frederick will officiate. Burial will be in Windfall Cemetery in Exeland.
